Malaria is an ancient scourge of humanity and one of the deadliest infectious diseases worldwide.

We study the malaria parasite, Plasmodium falciparum, to gain a functional and mechanistic understanding of the proteins and metabolic pathways encoded by the parasite’s highly divergent genome.
